The International Journal of Practice-based Learning in Health & Social Care (IJPBL) invites applications for the position of Co-Editor. We are seeking an enthusiastic academic with a health professional background to join our editorial team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to an international, peer-reviewed journal and to develop your scholarly profile.

About the Journal

The IJPBL provides a global platform for health and social care professionals engaged in educational activities that prepare practitioners for the diverse and complex realities of professional practice. The journal publishes innovative research, perspectives, and practices that advance education for practice worldwide, embracing the richness of different educational cultures.

Our mission is to make a significant impact on scholarship in health and social care education and, ultimately, on the quality of professional practice and service delivery.

The editorial team is currently composed of five co-editors passionate about the role of practice education in professional development. Their disciplinary backgrounds vary and they bring perspectives from Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Role and Responsibilities

As Co-Editor, you will:

  • Collaborate with the editorial team to manage the peer-review process ensuring content quality and integrity.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions about the journal’s development.
  • Contribute to content, e.g. editorials
  • Promote the journal within your networks and the wider academic community.

Requirements

Expressions of interest should include a cover letter with a brief motivation to support your application with reasons for  wanting to become part of the editorial team, and an Abbreviated Curriculum Vitae (CV). The CV should include:

  • A summary of your research track record and research experience
  • Publication record
  • Peer-review experience
  • Research interest/s and methodological preferences
